Will I receive the high-resolution images?

Of course! Your photos are all yours! With every photo shoot you will receive the entire edited collection of high-resolution photos to keep forever.

How long after my shoot will I wait for my photos?

Your photos will be edited and in the mail within two weeks. I can also get them to you via Dropbox or Box within the same time frame. After editing I will add a preview gallery of your photos to my website and send you the link so you can get a peek at a few of my favorites while you wait for your disc to arrive.

Do I order prints from you?

I do not handle any ordering of prints, but I can recommend a few printers: MPIXBay Photo, and Unit Printers are all quality printers.

How much do you charge?

For Family, Maternity, Kiddo and Newborn shoots I charge $300 and these last about one to one and a half hours. You will receive on average at least 50-60 edited digital images.

I'm not doing weddings as a regular part of my portfolio, however, I love engagement sessions.  My rate for these sessions is also $300, they last about one to one and a half hours and you'll receive an average of 50-60 images like my regular sessions.

One-year packages are available, which include shots for newborn, 3 months, 6 months and one-year for $1000. I am flexible on the timing of these, for example, I've had clients choose to do a Maternity session rather than a 3-month shoot.

All shoots include your entire edited collection of high-resolution photos given to you via cloud storage or CD, whichever is your preference.

What should we wear to our photo shoot?

I think it is important that your photos represent who you are, I want you to look like you! I want you to feel confident and comfortable in your clothing because then you will feel most prepared for the camera. That said, my preference is color/style coordination without the matchy-matchy. A great choice is always a muted palette with an amazing accessory to pop for the camera, i.e. scarf, necklace, bright shoes, flower crown, etc. For kids, a favorite toy or stuffed animal is a fun way to add interest and nostalgia to a photo. For some inspiration, check out a few shoots herehere, here, and here.

For newborn shoots, I would suggest a plain diaper, a favorite swaddle and minimal clothing changes.

Where do you take your photographs?

I photograph throughout the Peninsula in the Bay Area of California. Most of my clients prefer I make a location choice, but I am always open to and excited about a client's choice of location. I much prefer outdoor shoots--using the sun to create amazing lighting and the beauty of nature to enhance the shot.

As far as newborn shoots, these are done, for the most part, at the client's home. Any room with a lot of natural light can be used. I just ask that some prep is done to simplify the area around where the photos will be taken, and I can help arrange once I get there. The less in the background the cleaner the photo will be! Also, if possible, I suggest a space heater be placed in the area to get the spot nice and cozy for your little one.
